About The Position

Highland Health Providers is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse (MA/LPN) for their Rocky Fork Medical Center location in Hillsboro, OH. This role is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Key duties involve appointment scheduling, EMR management, assisting patients with mobility and personal care, supporting medical procedures, performing waived laboratory tests, and communicating instructions and results to patients. The position also includes fulfilling clerical and environmental responsibilities as assigned, along with other duties as needed. Highland Health Providers is a Federally Qualified Health Center established in 2015, with 7 locations serving medically underserved individuals in Highland County and surrounding areas, offering child wellness, adult wellness, and gynecology care.

Requirements

Degree or certification from a school or college of Practical Nursing or Medical Assisting or related experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting for primary care.
Minimum of 1-year experience in customer service setting.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
Appointment scheduling and EMR management.
Accompanying patients to exam/procedure rooms.
Assisting patients with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, and preparing for exams.
Assisting physicians/mid-level providers with various procedures.
Performing waived laboratory testing per provider and regulatory guidelines.
Relaying instructions and test results to patients/families.
Fulfilling clerical responsibilities as assigned.
Fulfilling environmental responsibilities as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
