About The Position
This position's primary role will be starting IVs, will also be asked to do some registration and scheduling. We are willing to train the right candidate. Experienced Phlebotomists are encouraged to apply. Monday - Friday 730-4. No Major Holidays! Under the supervision of the Director, Chairman, or Manager assists in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of the provider. In addition, may be involved in other areas including clerical, environmental and organizational support.
Requirements
- Minimum of six months related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Experienced Phlebotomists are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Triage calls and identifies patient's health problem or concern.
- Schedules/reschedules appointments.
- Greets patients and escorts them to exam room.
- Interviews patients during visit.
- Prepares patient treatment room.
- Assist provider with examination/procedure.
- Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization.
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
- Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
