In just 10 hours a week, you can play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will leverage your real-world experience to deliver a high-impact curriculum, helping students master the clinical and administrative skills they need to succeed.
Requirements
- In-depth, current knowledge of the Medical Assistant field, including both clinical and administrative duties.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences and provide fair, constructive assessments.
- Demonstrate high standards of ethics, punctuality, and patient care.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and common computer applications.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR a combination of three (3) years of job-related training and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time, practical experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) OR the willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Must hold any current license or credential required by Nevada state law to practice in the field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic lesson plans and practical demonstrations using diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student work, identify academic or behavioral concerns, and provide targeted advisement.
- Lead lab sessions to ensure students are proficient in vitals, blood draws, EKG, and administrative front-office procedures.
- Accurately complete required documentation for student files, attendance, and grading in a timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions to stay aligned with campus goals and accreditation standards.
