Medical Assistant III- Multispecialty - Greenlawn, NY - Full time Day- Offsite
About The Position
The Medical Assistant III provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Focus of tasks include basic rooming of patient, EKGs, Point of Care Testing and documentation in EPIC. In addition to the MA II skills, the MA III will be responsible to train staff, follow quality assurance guidelines, staff leadership and/or significant experience/skills in a particular specialty such as endoscopy, etc. The MA III should have at least 3+ years experience in a specialized area such as phlebotomy, pulmonary testing, surgery or cardiology.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of experience in a specialized area such as phlebotomy, pulmonary testing, surgery or cardiology.
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation.
- Skills in basic rooming of patients.
- Ability to perform EKGs.
- Ability to perform Point of Care Testing.
