Medical Assistant III Urogynecology
About The Position
As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you will be a member of the clinical support team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role is vital in making a real difference in patients' lives. Under the direction of management and physician leadership, the Medical Assistant performs and oversees functions within their scope of practice related to clinical activities. This includes maintaining patient flow by assisting and promoting healthcare delivery, performing technical procedures, and engaging in clinically oriented activities. The Medical Assistant will also assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations, with a focus on supporting physicians, clinical staff, and management to promote customer satisfaction. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options and opportunities for staff to learn and specialize.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
- May also have LPN, EMT, ER Tech, paramedic certification and relevant experience
- May consider a nursing student from an accredited registered or licensed practice nurse program after a clinical course of study has begun
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association certification within 30 days
- Or Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross certification within 30 days
