Job Overview The Medical Assistant III - Care Services Coordinator, under general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. This position may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injections, perform skin tests, administer oral medication, perform venipunctures, and perform skin punctures for blood specimens.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED
- Medical Assistant diploma
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Certified phlebotomy technician (CPT 1)
- California phlebotomist license
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Responsibilities
