About The Position

The Medical Assistant II assists physicians and nursing staff with patient care, chart management, and patient flow. The role performs delegated medical tasks and may also perform clerical duties. When an electronic system is in use, the Medical Assistant II uses it according to the department and/or FPI standard operating procedures and processes, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is in Orthopaedics.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant training program.
• Three to five years of supervised work experience in a medical setting.
• Medical Assistant certification, such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, or AMT.
• Demonstrated skill in venipuncture.
• Ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
