Medical Assistant II, Primary Care, Lakewood
About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant II for our Lakewood Primary Care office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity. The ideal candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting providers. Strong documentation skills and experience with chart preparation and performing EKGs are strongly preferred. Baptist Health's care for the community spans generations. Requirements
- 3+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Required
- Level II Background check required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience with chart preparation
- Performing EKGs
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains strong medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
