This is a part-time Medical Assistant II position in Urgent Care, working 25 hours per week. The role involves adhering to the Medical Assistant scope of practice, following all policies and procedures, and maintaining training and competency. Responsibilities include patient rooming tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with procedures, perform lab-related duties including venipuncture and specimen collection, and conduct Point of Care testing. They will also administer medications and vaccines safely, complete CLIA-approved waived laboratory tests, and perform other duties such as medication refills, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging. Effective communication, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked work environment are essential. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and interpret patient needs based on their age-specific requirements.
