About The Position

The Medical Assistant II supports patient care in a dermatology practice, helping provide a welcoming and smooth experience throughout each visit. The role combines clinical assistance, patient communication, and clinic operations in a fast-paced environment. Medical Assistants prepare patients for visits, assist providers with hands-on care, and help keep the clinic organized and efficient. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medical Assistant program; applicants with extensive experience may be considered unless state law requires program completion.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; the employer will not sponsor work visas.
• Ability to perform activities that may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for their visits.
• Answer patients’ care-related questions thoughtfully.
• Support providers during procedures and other hands-on patient care.
• Capture detailed visit notes.
• Fulfill prescription orders.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and understand the flow of exam rooms.
• Identify creative ways to improve clinic efficiency.
• Help teammates, keep work organized, and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.
