About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant II for our Baptist Primary Care, Silverleaf office located in St. Johns, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity. The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients and administering EKGs. Experience is preferred. Requirements
- 3-5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Required
- Positions designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
- Perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients and administering EKGs.
