To provide technical, supportive, age specific and developmentally appropriate patient care functions for assigned clinical area. The Medical Assistant II may function as a member of a Patient Centered Medical Home clinical team or may function in a role that includes routine administrative and clinical tasks. The Medical Assistant II has advanced Medical Assistant skills and is proficient in independently maintaining a positive patient experience by consistently exceeding expectations in customer service and patient care. The primary assignment is in Urology, supporting a diverse team of providers specializing in Urologic Oncology, General Urology, and Men’s Health. This role functions in a procedure-intensive setting, assisting with and preparing patients for a wide range of in-office diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities include supporting specialized procedures such as prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, and vasectomies, as well as facilitating patient education, procedural preparation and recovery, specimen handling, and coordination of care across disciplines. The MA 2 is expected to demonstrate a high level of clinical competency, adaptability, and attention to detail in managing complex patient needs and ensuring seamless workflow in a fast-paced environment.
