About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant II to join our West Jordan Dermatology Clinic. This is an immediate opening for a motivated and patient-focused individual. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED REQUIRED
Dermatology experience REQUIRED
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients
Typing/keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 WPM
Basic arithmetic, computer, and analytical skills
Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a willingness to assist others as needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to communicate professionally with physicians, staff, and patients

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification preferred
Bilingual skills are preferred

Responsibilities

Telephone triage
Insurance authorizations
Recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
Administering immunizations
Performing phlebotomy
Maintaining exam rooms
Managing documentation and filing
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patients
Collect and maintain accurate patient demographic information
Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
Prepare patients for examinations and provide providers with relevant information (lab results, vitals, medications, allergies)
Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and care needs
Perform additional duties as assigned
