About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options. This role involves performing and overseeing clinical activities, maintaining patient flow, assisting with primary and preventative health care delivery, performing technical procedures, lab protocols, and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction. The Medical Assistant II will also assist management in achieving office efficiencies to ensure smooth operations, supporting physicians, clinic staff, and management with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited MA program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience
  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Six (6) months MA work experience or a completed Beaumont MA internship is required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of MA experience.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 30 days from hire Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 30 days from hire

Nice To Haves

  • Team members may have other MA certifications and hire dates before November 1, 2025.
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants preferred
  • Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists preferred
  • Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing preferred
  • Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Health career Association preferred
  • Or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals
  • LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan preferred

  • Maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care.
  • Performs technical procedures, lab protocols and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction.
  • Assists management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supports physicians, clinic staff and management with a focus on customer satisfaction.
