About The Position

Under the direction of management and physician leadership, performs and oversees functions related to the clinical activities including, but not limited to: maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care, performs technical procedures, lab protocols and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction. The Medical Assistant II will assist management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations with a focus on supporting physicians, clinic staff and management which embodies the "Service First" philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited MA program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience
  • Six (6) months MA work experience or a completed Beaumont MA internship is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AMT, Medical Assistant, American Registry (ARMA) from ARMA, Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from NCCT, Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) from NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from NAHP within 90 days of hire
  • Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license from the State of Michigan upon hire
