The Medical Assistant I role at Catalyst Physician Group will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery. This is an entry level role focused on developing foundational clinical and administrative skills. This role supports patient care under supervision by performing basic tasks such as rooming patients, recording vital signs, and assisting with routine clinical duties. Requirements

  • Completion of accredited medical Assistant program
  • Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
  • Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification for healthcare providers with hands on component preferred or within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Primary Care office setting
  • Athena EMR experience

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients, adhere to rooming guidelines, vitals, accurately documents in the EMR, basic tests/procedures, medications and vaccines
  • Document patient information in the EMR accurately
  • Prepare exam rooms with the required equipment and supplies
  • Assist providers with basic examinations and procedures
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and report low stock levels
  • Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
  • Answer and route phone calls appropriately
  • Support appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and chart management
  • Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing and scanning
