This position is part of the clinical team and is responsible for initial patient interactions, including escorting patients, taking vital signs, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, and other related duties. The role focuses on moving patients through the clinic efficiently and effectively, communicating with various individuals, and supporting Providers in patient care. The Medical Assistant I will also provide diagnosis-appropriate education as directed by a Nurse or Provider. Employees hired and trained in phlebotomy and radiology duties before 2024 are grandfathered in to perform these duties. If working in Long Term Care, responsibilities include registration, insurance collection, entry, verification, and scanning documents. All duties must be performed in compliance with CHC/SEK policies and procedures.
