About The Position

To support the delivery of medical services through the direct provision of medical care by performing basic nursing and medical and administrative tasks. Medical Assistant I is the job title for all non-certified MA’s. The MA I may not be promoted to Team Leader.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Allied Health Training program, or experience commensurate with medical assistant training.

Nice To Haves

• One year’s experience in a health facility, preferred.
• Current CPR certification, preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks pertinent to age of patient (infancy to geriatric)
• Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies; assists in the selection of division equipment and supplies.
• Performs all nursing procedures (with the exception of certain injections, IVs and IV medications, triage) as directed by the clinician according to the guidelines in the Nursing Procedure Manual.
• May be assigned lab duties
• Assists in quality assurance and control.
• Participates in the continuing educational process.
• Assists in the efficient flow of patients.
• Attends work as scheduled.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
