About The Position
ChristianaCare Pediatric Associates at Medical Arts Pavilion II is looking for a Medical Assistant I. Pediatric Associates has proudly served the Delaware community since 1954. Founded by Dr. David Levitsky, MD, the practice has grown into a dedicated team of seven physicians and three nurse practitioners. Now part of ChristianaCare, Pediatric Associates continues its long-standing commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and advanced pediatric care to families across the region. The team provides comprehensive care to support the health and well-being of infants and children, including: Primary medical care for infants and children, Childhood immunizations, Routine physical examinations, Preventive care and wellness services, Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Responsibilities
- Greets and supports patients virtually and in person
- Prepares patients for visits
- Performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs)
- Assists with exams
- Maintains exam rooms and equipment
- Manages EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling
- Handles clerical duties
- Troubleshoots video visits
- Supports patient portal access
