Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Medical Assistant I-Float to perform routine patient care, technical, and supportive functions in a medical clinic setting. The Medical Assistant I will function within the scope of practice as described by the State of California Board. This role requires a working knowledge of all front office, back office, intake, and medical record processes. The ideal candidate will support the roles of Receptionists and Medical Assistants, undergo regular training on CSV's culture, mission, practice management system, customer service expectations, and quality initiatives. Responsibilities include following standard work procedures, troubleshooting problems, resolving patient issues, monitoring patient schedules to maximize access and minimize errors, overseeing the patient check-in/check-out process including collections and deposits, and ensuring compliance with various quality improvement guidelines and requirements (TJC, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, VFC, CHDP). The role also involves ensuring excellent patient experience and quality outcomes, assisting patients with financial questions, maintaining the integrity and standardization of medical records, and working closely with RNs and LVNs. Additionally, the Medical Assistant I will manage the ordering of supplies and handle a high volume of patients and customers with frequent changes and unexpected events.
