Accountable for providing patient centered care and operational support to the medical team to ensure an optimal patient experience. Coordinates activities in the clinical areas and facilitates a smooth patient flow. Assists with patient data collection, performs select screening and completes medical office functions relevant to area/assignment. Will also provide cross coverage to front office staff. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • At least two or more years’ experience in a hospital or medical clinic setting.
  • Proof of current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) as required by CMS attestation.
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be kept active/current for employment at OCSRI.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year in breast health or oncology preferred.
