This position is for a Medical Assistant in a High Risk Follow Up Clinic. The role involves assisting healthcare providers and clerical staff in ambulatory patient care areas, providing age-appropriate care, and performing a variety of routine and specialized tasks. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for documenting vital signs and physical measurements, performing phlebotomy, ancillary testing, promoting safety and infection control, authorizing medication refills, and performing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and preparing charts. Specific duties include preparing patients for examination, assisting with treatments, performing waived testing procedures, and maintaining quality control.
