This per diem Medical Assistant position will support our Mary Bridge Children's Pediatric Primary Care Clinics in the south Puget Sound area and will require travel to all locations.
Requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
- Current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
- Interviewing patients
- Obtaining vital signs
- Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
- Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
- Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
- Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
- Sending and receiving of patient medical records
- Facilitating patient referrals
- Preparing forms for patients
