Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Newly hired team members with a minimum of 24 months of Medical Assistant experience in the last 36 months AND worked under the direction of a licensed health care professional that did not graduate from certain Medical Assistant programs qualify for order entry recognition.
  • A letter of attestation is required to apply for order entry recognition.
  • Completion of the order entry competence program will be required within 60 days of meeting the qualifications.
  • If a new team member is hired with no Medical Assistant experience, then they will complete the competence within 60 days after obtaining the 24 months of required Medical Assistant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Travels to rural clinics as well as the metro Oklahoma City area to assist with coverage for the physician clinics.
  • Assists with daily clinic patient care such as patient flow, taking patients history and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing maintenance of medical supplies and other duties as assigned.
  • Floats or travels to OHHP locations to fill in for clinical positions on an as-needed basis, following all policies and procedures.
  • Learns from a variety of job functions from the various physician teams.
  • Mileage reimbursement when applicable.
