Our mission is to provide transformative healthcare for all. We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team supporting our school based clinic locations in Fayette County. This dynamic role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a variety of settings while ensuring consistent support wherever coverage is needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient patient flow through the clinic by following established workflows
- Provide clinical support including: Escorting patients to exam rooms, Recording vital signs and measurements, Assisting with screenings and exams, Administering treatments and medications as directed, Counseling on safety, nutrition, and development
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Maintain exam rooms and supplies
- Perform laboratory services including phlebotomy and CLIA-waived tests
- Process referrals and track test results
- Serve as a communication liaison between provider and patient
- Provide administrative support including scheduling and inventory management
- Participate in team huddles and assist with training new Medical Assistants
