About The Position

At Konza Prairie Community Health Center, our Medical Assistants are at the heart of care—supporting providers, improving access, and creating a positive patient experience. We’re looking for a motivated, compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) Float to join our growing team! This position supports both our Junction City and Manhattan clinic locations and requires the ability to travel between sites.
Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience
- Current vaccinations per ACIP guidelines
- Ability to travel between Konza clinics.
Nice To Haves
- Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
- Experience in primary care, family practice, or FQHC
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vitals, and update medical histories
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
- Administer injections and medications as ordered
- Triage patient calls (urgent vs. non-urgent needs)
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-ups
- Communicate with pharmacies for prescriptions and refills
- Document accurately in the EHR/EMR (eClinicalWorks)
- Educate patients on care plans and next steps
- Travel between Konza clinic locations.
