The Medical Assistant (MA) serves as a vital link between patients and providers, delivering high-quality clinical and administrative support across multiple physician clinic locations. This role is essential to ensuring efficient patient flow, excellent patient experiences, and quality clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
  • Willingness to comply with all health and safety requirements, including vaccinations
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
  • Proof of required vaccinations or approved exemption prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient information
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during visits
  • Perform or assist with procedures including phlebotomy, sterile techniques, and diagnostics within scope of practice
  • Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness
  • Coordinate and facilitate patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person
  • Provide patient education, including for those with special needs
  • Maintain laboratory records and patient results
  • Conduct routine checks of medications and supplies for expiration
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and safety initiatives
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
