About The Position

UT Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CCMA) to float between locations and provide exceptional support for their clinical teams. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about patient care who thrive in a varied environment. The position emphasizes ensuring smooth patient flow, supporting clinical operations, and serving as a vital link between patients and providers.

Requirements

• Excellent multitasking, time management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced medical office.
• At least 1 year of experience of giving unsupervised IM injections, EKGs, providing wound care, and POC swabbing for COVID, Strep, FLU and Mono.
• Must have critical thinking skills and be highly motivated.
• GED or high school diploma with greater than 2 years on the job MA training.

Nice To Haves

• CMA, CCMA or RMA preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Support the office clinic where needed.
• Take vitals, review medical history, and update EMR records.
• Serve as a key point of contact between patients and providers.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards.
• Follow up on test results, document test in logs per CLIA standards.
• Support providers during in-office procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Provide back-up support to clinical staff as needed.
