This Medical Assistant Float role supports multiple health centers, offering a unique opportunity to engage in both Occupational Health and Primary Care services. As a Float Medical Assistant, you will support various clinic locations, demonstrating adaptability and strong patient care skills in diverse settings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience OR Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training OR Relevant military medic experience
  • Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills
  • One year of recent experience in a medical setting with Occupational training is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinical environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel between assigned clinic locations
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing clinical environment
  • Reliable transportation is required

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
  • Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
  • Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
  • Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
  • Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
  • Travel between Trimble and Ghent locations to provide coverage and operational support, approximately two weeks per month for about 10 months out of the year.
