About The Position

As a Medical Assistant Procedural, you will complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You will work alongside the provider to make sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly. If you have and enjoy using your procedure-based skills, this opportunity is perfect for you! You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures. You will measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic. You will complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc. You will also perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection. You will assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Requirements

  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred.
  • Employees must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
