Medical Assistant - Family Medicine - 87th Ave
About The Position
Join the Family Medicine team at our 87th Ave location! This full-time, 40 hours/week position involves working four 10-hour shifts with Thursdays off, from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm, including a 30-minute lunch. The role offers no nights and no weekends. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting patient information, preparing patients for examination, assisting with the overall delivery of patient care, and receiving additional hands-on training to work at the top of your scope. EMT and CNA are welcome to apply. Expectation to receive onsite training and obtain the WA State MA-R credential. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions, including care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender-affirming treatment. The ability to work with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Required completion of one of the following: Combination of experience and training resulting in a nationally recognized MA certification or completion of a formal MA program or formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces or EMT training and certification or current Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certification.
- Must obtain Washington State Medical Assistant credential within required timeframe and maintain in active status throughout employment.
- Current healthcare provider BLS required
- Experience with an electronic health record
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
