About The Position

Join Mass General Brigham as a Medical Assistant supporting our Endocrinology and Diabetes practice in Northampton. In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll be an essential partner to providers, nurses, patients, and families—helping deliver thoughtful, coordinated care in a collaborative outpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Medical Assistant who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and wants to contribute meaningfully to patient care every day. As a Medical Assistant in this practice, you will work as a true clinical partner and have the opportunity to use the full scope of your education, certification, and experience. You’ll rotate among a team of providers, gaining exposure to a range of patient needs while helping keep each visit organized, efficient, and patient-centered.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • 3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience with demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative responsibilities required.
  • Ability to take vital signs, perform manual blood pressure readings, and collect blood samples and other specimens.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, protocols, HIPAA, and privacy standards.
  • Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient patient flow throughout the practice.
  • Room patients and assist providers during examinations, procedures, treatments, and office visits as directed.
  • Perform clinically appropriate patient panel management tasks, including phone calls, test results, prescription refill support, and coordination of care.
  • Maintain neat, clean, organized, and safe patient care areas.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a professional, compassionate, and friendly manner.
  • Partner closely with nurses, providers, and administrative team members to support a positive patient experience.
