About The Position
As a Medical Assistant / EMT, you will play a key role in supporting providers with clinical tasks, documentation, and patient communication. You’ll assist with exams, help manage the flow of care, and become an integral part of our patient-centered practice. Ideal candidates are motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a high-touch environment. This role is perfect for pre-PA, pre-med, or nursing students looking to build clinical experience in a supportive, fast-paced medical setting. Recent graduates or gap-year students preparing for a healthcare career are welcome. Responsibilities
- Assist with provider documentation and charting during patient visits - this position requires the ability to manage a high volume of data entry.
- Take vital signs, update patient medical histories, and perform intake
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and stocked
- Assist during exams and procedures as directed by providers
- Communicate with patients about upcoming procedures, instructions, and follow-ups
- Manage communication with pharmacies
- Coordinate patient care through phone calls, faxes, and secure messaging
- Help track and follow up on medical clearances, referrals, and lab results
- Support both front and back office tasks as needed for team coverage
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical documentation in EMR systems
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and a high standard of professionalism at all times
