About The Position

The Primary Care Clinic at M Physicians is centrally located within the Clinics and Surgery Center building, offering patients the convenience of seeing primary and specialty care providers in one location. The clinic handles a high volume of patients, providing care for everything from routine physicals to complex acute care visits. It is closely affiliated with the University, fostering a collaborative environment where dedicated faculty physicians work alongside internal medicine residents, promoting staff growth and continuous learning. In this role, you will be crucial in supporting providers and patients during clinic visits. Your responsibilities include monitoring clinic schedules, greeting and guiding patients to examination rooms, and collecting essential medical information for health records. You will also act as a key partner in ensuring an excellent patient experience by coordinating and communicating with various healthcare team members, such as nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians. Depending on your certification or license, you may also assist with minor in-office procedures, administer injections and immunizations, and perform laboratory/sample collections.

Requirements

  • As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): NREMT & MN EMT certification
  • As a Medical Assistant (MA): Possess a Medical Assistant Diploma with proof of completion of a 160-hour externship OR hold AAMA Certification OR AMT Registration
  • As a Visit Facilitator: In the absence of a certification or license, a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of customer service experience is required

Responsibilities
