Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Technician, or equivalent clinical credential.
  • A minimum of one year of hands-on patient care experience within a healthcare environment, including physician practices, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, hospitals, or women’s health offices.
  • Experience taking vital signs and recording patient information.
  • A level of comfort working directly with patients in a caring, service-focused environment.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Have a personal Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with the organization's mission.
  • Support the Center's life-affirming philosophy.
  • Be willing to affirm and follow the organization's Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and employment policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience.
  • Prior experience in women’s health or obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
  • Experience collecting specimens or performing laboratory testing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Empathy and professionalism in every patient interaction, helping women feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential patient information.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Initiative and teamwork, with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative clinical environment.
  • Reliability and adaptability, along with a genuine dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for medical appointments.
  • Obtain health histories and document patient details accurately.
  • Take vital signs and support routine clinical procedures.
  • Perform CLIA-waived testing after required training, including pregnancy and STI testing.
  • Provide education to clients on pregnancy, reproductive health, and available services.
  • Communicate follow-up information and contribute to care coordination efforts.
  • Input and maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Prepare exam rooms and keep clinical supplies stocked.
  • Provide support to physicians, nurses, and clinical team members throughout patient visits.
  • Uphold HIPAA requirements and protect confidential medical information.
  • Complete all required organizational and clinical training.
  • Help with other administrative or clinical projects as assigned.
