About The Position
Lifetime Products is currently hiring a Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in the Lifetime Health and Wellness center. The Lifetime Health and Wellness center is an onsite health clinic available to our employees and their dependents. It operates as a family practice setting with occupational injury treatment. The role is for talented, dedicated Certified Medical Assistants (or testing) at an entry level. The Medical Assistant (CMA) provides outstanding support to physicians and healthcare providers while providing exceptional care to patients and customers within the clinical scope of a CMA. The CMA ensures that patients are welcomed in a warm and friendly manner and sees that their needs and expectations are met. CMAs are responsible for ensuring the smooth operations in the fast-paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter.
Requirements
- Verifiable successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current CPR certificate
- Current American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a medical assisting internship
- One or more years' experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting
- One or more years of demonstrated customer service experience
- Experience working with an EMR system
- Phlebotomy experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting room, and exam room experience
- Prepares patients to be seen by physicians, collects vital signs and testing as required by the healthcare provider
- Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an EMR system.
- Performs diagnostic tests, labs and processes and enters results
- Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider
- Provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks
