We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a dynamic ambulatory care team. In this role, you will provide hands-on patient care and essential clinical support under the direction of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training program OR one year of relevant MA experience (training available for motivated candidates)
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Ability to obtain MA certification within 6 months of hire if required (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, or RMA accepted)

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients and families in preparing for examinations
  • Support providers during exams and procedures
  • Gather and document patient data through interviews and observations
  • Enter medication, lab, and imaging orders under provider direction
  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
  • Provide professional and compassionate communication to patients and family members
  • Process incoming and outgoing calls using sound clinical judgment
  • Act as a liaison for specialty referrals and diagnostic scheduling
  • Collaborate with administrative and operations teams
  • Assist with scheduling, reception, and patient discharge when needed
  • Demonstrate consistent adherence to organizational policies and standards
