About The Position

This position is for a Medical Assistant specializing in Cardiology. The role involves direct patient care, assisting physicians, and performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for greeting patients, collecting health information, assisting during examinations and procedures, managing patient requests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The position emphasizes excellent customer service and adherence to the Duly Health and Care CARE values. Some travel to other local clinics may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

Nice To Haves

• Active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
