About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking highly motivated students wishing to pursue a career in medicine for our year-long internship and medical assistant position. This position is ideal for students who have graduated or will be graduating from undergraduate school and have not yet applied or been accepted to medical school. This elite program, now in its 22nd year, has a strong track record of graduates moving on to successful careers as physicians or physician’s assistants. The role offers comprehensive Medical Assistant training and hands-on experience in the dermatology field. A car or reliable transportation is required due to the need to travel between surrounding offices/practices. Housing is not provided. This is a paid, full-time internship requiring a twelve-month commitment.

Requirements

• Must have graduated or will be graduating by June 2026
• Available for a twelve-month period
• Must have a car or reliable transportation
• Applicants will not be considered if they are currently applying for medical school to begin in the class of September 2026
• Completed undergraduate degree by June 2026 or earlier

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with all patient care duties
• Triage of patients
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data entry
• Writing and understanding prescriptions and their uses
• Biopsy preparation and clean up
