Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ Breast Care Center is committed to helping patients take charge of their breast health. This center offers comprehensive screening and diagnostic services for women and men, such as mammograms, breast MRIs, MRI-guided breast biopsies, 3d breast tomosynthesis, ultrasound-guided biopsies, needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies, education, and support services. A new surgeon will be joining the team of providers, requiring the need for a Medical Assistant in the Breast Surgery section. As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with reviewing schedules, rooming patients, chart prep, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am to 4:30pm with no weekends and no holidays required. This role is located on the 10th floor of Crile Building at CC Main Campus.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
  • Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within new hire period

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assisting certification
  • Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship

Responsibilities

  • Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors.
  • Assist with reviewing schedules, rooming patients, chart prep, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more.
