About The Position
MaxHealth in Riverview is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is compassionate, service-oriented, and can multitask with ease. The role involves direct involvement in ensuring focused and empathetic patient care, greeting patients warmly, triaging them upon arrival, preparing them for physician visits by readying examination and procedure rooms, and obtaining histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments and procedures, and managing documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The Medical Assistant will also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients.
Requirements
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- 1+ years of experience as an MA
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
