About The Position

Come join our team as a Part-time Medical Assistant with BJC Behavioral Health, this is a rare opportunity to join a great team! Outpatient 8-Hours per week Day Shift- 8:00a-4:30p Could float to North or South County Offices NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
