The Medical Assistant Apprentice will attend 288 hours of classroom and lab sessions and complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job clinical practice with the goal of passing the Medical Assistant Certification exam and becoming a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) in WA state. The Medical Assistant Apprentice, under the direct supervision of a Certified Medical Assistant, performs delegated clinical and administrative duties providing direct support to primary care providers and some direct care to patients. Work in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcare Health’s Mission, Guiding Principles, Service Commitments, and Goals. There are 10 openings in total across various clinics: 45th Street Clinic (2), Columbia City Clinic (2), High Point Clinic (2), Lake City Clinic (1), Meridian Clinic (2), and Rainier Beach Clinic (1).
