About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to launch your medical career? Through our Medical Assistant Apprentice program, you will be hired to work in Essentia Health's family practice at St. Mary's Clinic in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. We will pay for your education and certification as a Medical Assistant, putting your through a qualifying program with a partnering organization. This program comes with a 2-year work commitment upon course completion. This cohort-based training program, beginning on June 29th, 2026, brings participants together as a group to create a strong learning community. You’ll train alongside peers who share your goals, gaining valuable knowledge, real-world experience, and the support needed to grow into a successful Certified Medical Assistant. This program is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn and grow in healthcare, team-oriented and dependable, excited to train alongside peers in a collaborative setting, and ready to develop the skills needed to support patients and providers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire
2-year work commitment upon course completion
