About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing leadership to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities span both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for patients and healthcare teams alike. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our patient-centered care model.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Obtain and document accurate medical histories to support patient care.
Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
Perform a variety of clinical tasks to support ambulatory patient care.
