Medical Assistant and Front Office Float- Sarasota and Manatee Counties
About The Position
MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant/Front Office Float to work between our Sarasota and Manatee County clinics to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This position is for a healthcare company that values contributions and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is compassionate, service-oriented, and can multitask with ease. The position will provide coverage to clinics throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Normal hours of operation are Monday- Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Requirements
- Some phlebotomy experience
- 1+ years of experience as an MA
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
- Computer proficient

Responsibilities
- Oversee patient care
- Prepare patients' rooms
- Assist physicians with exams
- Perform front desk tasks
- Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients
- Manage necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
