About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 for their MNI Spine – Office I location. This is a full-time position with a shift from 08:00 to 16:30 and includes a $3,000 bonus. The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and clinic supervisor/manager. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in the practice, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, pulse oximeter, pain level, weight, and height), and recording this information on patients' charts/Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The role also involves collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. The estimated pay range for this position is $21.24 - $27.61 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Must have at least one of the following licenses/certifications: MA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all.
  • CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida.
  • Must be a professional, organized detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Possesses compassionate demeanor, excellent customer service skills and high ethical standards.
  • HIPAA/OSHA compliance required.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer applications and typing skills.
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology a plus.
  • For Primary Care Practices, EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications are also required for employees with the CNA license only.
