About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 for their Concierge practice in Coral Gables. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves assisting physicians in the practice, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, recording patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. The estimated pay range for this position is $21.24 - $27.61 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required.
- Must have at least one of the following required licenses/certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Basic Life Support, Registered Medical Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all.
- CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida.
- Must be a professional, organized detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Possesses compassionate demeanor, excellent customer service skills and high ethical standards.
- HIPAA/OSHA compliance required.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment efficiently.
- Proficient in computer applications and typing skills.
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred.
- Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology a plus.
- For Primary Care Practices, EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications are also required for employees with the CNA license only.
Responsibilities
- Assisting physicians in the practice.
- Assisting in examination and treatment of patients.
- Rooming patients.
- Obtaining information from patients.
- Measuring vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, pulse oximeter, pain level, weight, and height).
- Recording information on patients' charts/Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
