About The Position

We are seeking a Medicaid Provider Field Representative to serve as the primary liaison between our organization and Medicaid providers throughout the Austin area. In this role, you'll work from home while traveling throughout your assigned territory to conduct face-to-face provider visits, educate healthcare providers on Medicaid policies, and help ensure compliance with program requirements. You'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your own schedule while collaborating with a supportive remote team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a provider-facing healthcare support or healthcare customer service role.
  • Experience working with State Medicaid programs or strong knowledge of Medicaid policies and provider requirements.
  • Experience processing travel and expense reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned provider territory while working remotely from your home office.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled in-person visits with Medicaid providers throughout the Austin area.
  • Educate providers on Medicaid policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and internal teams.
  • Monitor provider compliance and identify opportunities for education and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and activity tracking using internal systems.
  • Analyze reports to prioritize daily activities and effectively manage your territory.
  • Participate in virtual meetings, team collaboration, and ongoing training sessions.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and service standards are consistently met.
  • Travel daily throughout the assigned territory, up to three hours each direction from your home when necessary.
