About The Position

The Opportunity As a Medicaid Managed Care Associate, you will support the maintenance and development of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) managed care oversight, risk management, and compliance tracking resources. You will demonstrate strong subject matter expertise with Medicaid data sources and data governance best practices to oversee the integration of various data sources (e.g., program results, findings, reports) and centralization of information to assist with monitoring and oversight. You are responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of tools that meet client and stakeholders’ needs and align with available data sources. To be successful you will play a supportive, client facing role on Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state-funded Medicaid policy and IT transformation projects. You should have Medicaid data and policy experience.

Requirements

Master’s Degree + Seven years of relevant experience, or PhD + Four years of relevant experience
Knowledge of state and federal Medicaid and CHIP managed care regulations, program implementation, and monitoring strategies.
Knowledge of Medicaid and CHIP programs, systems (e.g., Salesforce, DataConnect, Databricks, QuickSight), and data sources (e.g., EQR, MBES, MCPAR, NAAAR).
Demonstrated experience in business process modeling, project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP-certified preferred) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint), data governance, product development, and change management.
Familiarity with federal healthcare data sets, specific to Medicaid, data warehousing, analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and business intelligence tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI).
US work authorization required and ability to obtain and maintain clearance access for HHS information systems.
Experience in managing multiple tasks, client management activities, and clearly communicating complex, technical topics to clients and executive agency leadership.

Nice To Haves

Active credentials to work on CMS’s systems is strongly preferred.
Prior experience supporting business development activities preferred.

Responsibilities

Support existing and new dashboards by leading a team of SMEs and developers and overseeing documentation including requirements and data sources, identify staffing and other resource needs to meet requirements and timely delivery that meets client’s expectations.
For dashboard enhancements and updates, support the centralized program and plan databases that feed into dashboard development, coordinating with CMS systems to confirm access to required data sources, and apply intelligent automation tooling and business intelligence.
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to gather requirements from and present information to multiple client representatives, executive leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders and report out on progress and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate across interdisciplinary teams, including SMEs, programming and developing partners, subcontractors and consultants, and oversee task performance to align with project timelines and task budgets.
Support the modernization and improvement of dashboards and other tools, including providing QA/QC of draft and final products to align with state and federal healthcare priorities.
Support business development efforts and contribute to proposals related to health policy implementation work, particularly in the Medicaid domain.
